Another sunset

Today I bring you a tale as old as time. The tussle between woman and beast. Stick around to find out who won and was rewarded with this stunning display of colours.

Fortified with coffee and cake, I went up to the terrace armed with my journal and a book but before I even sat down the raucous cawing began. I was chased away last time by a crow, not today and definitely not by the same crow. I have nothing to lose, just my self-respect my mind crowed unhelpfully.

Well, two can play at this game. I’ll see how long you can caw, you pesky bird. Your can’t keep at it for eternity. I was forced to throw stones (before you balk, for everything there is a first time) at him, otherwise it would have sat on my head (literally!). I am sure it’s a him because it had no respect for boundaries, forget asking for permission before encroaching into what has been my space for decades! Jokes apart, its aggressive stance and its physical appearance gave it away. Yes, this is the thinnest I have ever been but not the sickest I have been. You have another thing coming if you think you can browbeat me into submission without a fight. Didn’t anyone tell you that appearances can be deceptive?
